No the contract was up. Hence the lockout. At least get the facts right.

NFLPA cannot strike. Expressly forbidden in the CBA.

It's not that they make more money than me. It's that they feel like the league should support them for a lifetime. Name me a business that does that.

Yes I fucked up the 7% and 14%. One thing I did not fuck up is someone doing a job that has less meaning than mine bitching about their pension. Oh boo hoo you can stick your extra NFL income in to a blue chip stock and retire easily. Oh wait you don't want to make an effort? You want them to do it for you? Yeah Fuck

Ahh I know what you are thinking. No I am not Anti-Union but I did lash out a bit at you. I was pointing to the fact that a union member that is already making 150k for PART TIME WORK should be amenable to concessions. Ahh FUCK it PART TIME WORKERS! How many part time workers do you know with pensions?

How you came to that I am not sure. I never said the refs shouldn't get what they can. I just agreed they should take some responsibility.

The NFL offered an increase in pay, so yeah point one down. As to 2 yes the replacement refs are way worse but fuck if you do not remember the disasters of the past then nothing I say will convince you.

How so? I explained why everyone is in it for money and the Proletariat get's screwed. How is that Communist?

And yet you assume that belonging to a union entitles them to more money? How does this make any sense. Especially when the big sticking point is ref accountability/pensions.

Actually the way I did it would be 7%. But yeah I did it horribly wrong. No excuse for it.

No I was saying that they make 150k a year on a part time basis and most people will never make that on a full time basis.

Hoculi is a lawyer.

Wait what? The NFL offered to up their salaries? Are you making it up as you troll or what?

Welcome to capitalism. If the NFL is making money they do not give a rats ass about the rest. It is a business. Money in = cares out.

So wrong I inverted numbers.

God I wish I could edit out such a stupid math mistake.

Bah you are correct. 14% My apologies I was reversing numbers. However even at 14% it proves Ms. Fox point. Most American's do not have a pension.

44/311 =7.06818181818 aka roughly 7%

With your reasoning the NFL should just say fuck it and train the replacements for the next year and a half. That way in 2013 they can come out and say, "Sorry about 2012 but we needed time to train and we miscalculated how long that would be." "We promise things will be better this year" And odds are they will be

Not true. The NFL has offered to up the pool. Also the average ref makes 150k for PART TIME WORK! They all have other jobs. Hoculi is a lawyer another is a farmer I heard and I think a few teachers in there. (Which I say pay the damn teachers they are under appreciated.)
