I just figure/hope there’s something else at play as it seems odd that we’d suddenly join/give it all up to aliens barely 20/30 years after nearly being annihilated.
If they really wanted to turn it around, they could have had us playing an alien race ‘XCOM’ where the humans are now xeno-phobic Imperium of Man types and are actually invading.... :p
