Technically, I think most of the current research shows that the brain isn't fully developed (including decision making regions) until about 24 or 25.

I feel like in the before pictures, he is attractive/adorable and *seems* approachable. In the after pictures, he's attractive, but I wouldn't waste my time trying.
I'm from Southern California and I also found that sketch painful. Even reading the responses about why it's funny, I don't understand. It could be because I'm not a native to LA, but that's a really goddamn specific chunk of their audience to be focusing on for jokes for that long.
I beg to differ. Still cute.
Sample size aside, is South Korea anything like Japan in terms of a feminine norm of small mouths/obscured eating? Anyone know? I imagine that could lead to some differences in eating/chewing habits in that particular culture.
I feel like it's weird that I want to be best friends with this bird... but I want to be best friends with this bird.
I kind of get the feeling that the reason that people freak out over events like Sasha Grey going to read to kids is that it's so normal. And if the kid meets this nice, normal seeming person and later in life find out she does/did porn, they may not buy into the narrative that porn stars are all damaged, terrible…
I always think of this when that line comes up.
I was actually wondering about that, too. I feel like being a fake significant other could be my calling in life.
That's a solid 10 minutes of padding. I really appreciate that.
You live very close to me and I don't know how comfortable I am with that... e.e
Planning-ish a wedding. Fiance and I don't want kids there. Truthfully, partly because neither of us are big fans of kids, but also because I was once a kid hauled to weddings and I hated it. Why force kids to be miserable and then make everyone else miserable in return?
To be fair, veganism isn't just about diet. If it is just one's diet, then that person technically eats a plant-based diet. That's why a non-food item would potentiality have a "vegan" label. [Not trying to be a dick and not sure you even wanted an explanation, but that's why.]
You know... thinking about it... Allen and Polanski still seem to have some level of power in Hollywood, too? I could be wrong about Polanski... Allen definitely does. Does Cosby still have that much weight in the industry? Maybe that also plays a role.
That said, I have little doubt that racism (conscious or not)…
I heard people talking about Dragon Age and that interested me much more than ramblings from Judd Apatow...

I can't imagine reacting this way to a proposal? I've proposed to two people (as, for the purposes of this post, a woman; two proposals because my first fiance died). Both times, we were happy, but it was all very matter-of-fact. How/why does this kind of breakdown happen? Insights?
Still in school, just grad school now. Not sure how I'd write it on work papers, but I'm not planning on leaving academia and it hasn't been an issue there so far. Also, I always write out the month, rather than just using numbers.
Yes, I know quite a bit of French and some Spanish. I never thought much about the…
I feel like it's just like asking about any other cultural or language thing. It's like asking why you say "blue shirt" in English, rather than the other way around. For this specifically, I don't know that native speakers know the origin of the date writing, but it's the way we're taught to do it and it's the way…
You know, I think that has something to do with education in the US (probably also other places, but I can't speak to that). We get a lot of European history - we acknowledge different countries and their specifically different cultures. People don't really get a sense for Kenyan culture vs. Nigerian culture vs.…
