I don't think that he's done. It's a light hearted little rivalry those old RPG devs have always had, (putting it aside to work on things like Chrono Trigger) so as long as Yuji Horii is still working in the industry, Sakaguchi will probably be doing something somewhere.

When it comes to Starcraft, i'm just glad that they aren't showing the names in game. This is a game that causes parents to starve their children and grown men to die of sleep deprivation in cafes. I don't think it would be long before we saw a story where some guy tracked down someone who Zerg rushed him and ended…

Oh it's only been... what, two, three years since Episode Two? I'm sure we can wait...it's not like they created an entirely new IP and released a sequel to that in the time since The Orange Box, right? Because that would just be kind of ridiculous.

@TheContender: I agree that the FPS genre is getting stale (as has been said for the past 7 years), but it's expanding a very viable brand beyond its natural borders. Halo is a shooter, C&C is an RTS and Star Fox is an on rails shooter. Forays outside these genres have almost always resulted in (arguable) disaster.
