I hate you for hating Jenny. How un-fucked do you think you would you be if you had been raped by your father every day of your childhood?

Me too! When I started reading this article I was hoping to hear that the poop pills also came from skinny people and that we not-so-skinny people could get them. I would have no problem swallowing 34 pills in 15 minutes.

I can't watch it. I had to stop after the first 3 seconds when she used the phrase "Kate's and I's least favorite songs".

My husband and I are both furloughed, and I'm not even a government employee. He is - he's a DOD civilian employee with the Department of Army. I am a software engineer contractor working for a federal agency. Because of the type of contract I'm on, I'm furloughed as are 11 of the 12 other contractors on my

This question is for ALL the U.S. women and men who've posted here. Did you vote is the last election? Have you voted in EVERY local, state, and federal election since you turned 18?

Sorry this is so late in response; I wasn't online for a few days. I think you should retry Trixie Belden - I really do think most of the books hold up very well.

Sorry this response is late; I've not been online for a few days. As Jo said, Jixemitri is one place, and fanfiction.net is another. On that site, got to books, (there's also movies, tv shows, etc), and then search under the Ts. I have to warn you - some of it is very poorly written, but there are some true gems as

Now I can. I refreshed my browser and I see your picture, but there are still others I'm not seeing and the posters write as if they'd inserted pictures, so I'll keep refreshing till I see them all!
And I never saw that cover for the book. I read it in the late 60s or early 70s.

I didn't see yours when I posted the same book - but with a different cover. I didn't find the books until I was 9 and I loved them so much!

Am I missing something? This is the second post I've read that doesn't include the name of the book.

I LOVED this book! But before this one, I had already read Henry Huggins series, where Ramona and her sister Beezus were introduced.

I wish I had found these books when I was a kid. Even though I was an avid reader I mostly read more current books (for the time, which was in the 60s). I read these books after the TV series started (I was obviously an adult then), and I introduced them to my kids. My son STILL (at 32) loves bring up the shiny

Trixie Belden series - The first 6 or so were written by Julie Campbell, the following ones were written by various people using the pseudonym Kathryn Kenny. The first one was originally printed in 1958, followed quickly by more of them. They were re-printed later and the picture above is from the series that I read

I find it pitiful that in 2013 there are women who think they have to wear heels - which damage your body - just to look so-called "professional".
If you had any balls (sorry I can't think of a better way of saying it) then you'd say "FUCK YOU" to anyone who indicated that women need to wear heels to look professional.

I'm a software engineer. Some of the women I work with wear a small amount of make-up, but most are like me and wear none at all. But even when I go out -to the store, to a restaurant, whatever, I just don't wear make-up. Looking "good" is of absolutely no importance to me.

We are kindred spirits!

I wear make-up 2 or 3 times a year; usually when going to a party or wedding. Otherwise I don't wear any at all. I don't do anything with my fingernails, but I do get a pedicure with bright red polish late every spring, for wearing sandals.

I wear make-up occasionally, like 2 or 3 times a year when going to a party. But I don't wear make-up to work, or just out and about. Make-up takes time, and I don't feel like wasting my precious time on something so completely unnecessary.

A billion thank-yous for pointing all this out.

Here's the thing - if you are indeed eating less than you thought, then it is EASY for you to eat that smaller amount. You are still lucky that you don't crave more food.
