He may not be the worst president ever but damn if he isn't one of the most disappointing.

I think that anyone who leaps from someone saying that more and more people, and particularly, more and more women, are being shunted into poverty with a defense that it's because that's how it has to be because that's how it has to look is being painfully disingenuous. Even if we pretend for a moment that everyone…
People who are cleaners or fry cooks should, however, be able to achieve a basically acceptable standard of living (food, clothing, shelter, medicine) without receiving welfare benefits.
Yes, capitalism is so great that Walmart is costing the taxpayers anywhere between $900,000 and $1.75 million PER STORE because they refuse to pay their employees a life-sustaining wage.

I know it was largely tongue-in-cheek, but it seems odd to write an article bemoaning the broad generalizations faced by women who sleep with lots of people and then make broad generalizations about women who sleep with lots of people (even if they're positive.) Prudes can crack jokes and lend a sympathetic ear. Sluts…
I don't understand this article. Those 10 things could easily be true of a virgin.
Too-long sleeves can be hemmed, as can too-long pants & skirts. For tall people, it is incredibly difficult to find clothing that accommodate long limbs. And while you have the option of removing fabric, taller people do not have the option of adding any.
Um, perhaps I have gorilla arms or linebacker shoulders, but sleeves are not too long on me. Ever. Pants, however, are frequently too long even when I wear them with higher heels. I'm not short and my legs are long, but perhaps many women wear much higher heels than I find comfortable in my job.
I don't like the idea that anyone's time is more valuable than anyone else's, but as it is, a one day ticket to Universal Studios park in Orlando (not including the Islands of Adventure, whatever that is) is $92 for an adult and $86 for a child (it's $128 adult/$122 child if you want to do both parks). So if we want…
It kills me when people who believe that everyone should be able to marry WHO they want, including someone of the same sex, have issues about people marrying WHERE they want. Let's get some perspective here. I don't think anyone commenting here was forced to attend this Ikea wedding, can't we be happy for this lovely…
This is such an irresponsible thing for her to do, I can't even believe it. Do all adventurous women have gonorrhea too? I totally understand trying to normalize a disease and trying to take away the stigma from being a sexually active young woman, but I don't think you achieve that by saying you're basically a…
Theres a lot of condescending snark going on here. I think its pretty darn cute they got married where they met, thats their prerogative. The inclusion of the crime stats of Newark was completely unnecessary. Here are other facts about Newark:
I was wondering the same thing. Personally, I think the author is classist, but YMMV.
Why did you have to include that the Elizabeth is close to Newark and that it's the car theft capital? Its like you are amazed that people live in poor areas.....and this is irrelevant to the kinda cute wedding story of this couple.
I'm confused - why is it necessary to point out Newark crime stats? Seems totally irrelevant to the story.
I second what others have said: Wargo is resourceful in getting celebrity attention, Dunham is kind to fulfill fan's wish, but all to celebrate and commemorate a cancer-causing virus? Fail.
I understand that in context, feigning a cavalier attitude toward HPV was the joke. But I cringe to consider what a sincere gesture tattooing those words on Wargo's body is. That line is problematic on so many levels. Like, sure, out-of-context it'd be brilliant for Lena Dunham to start an All Adventurous Women…
Yes, because when a bunch of strangers are encouraging me to hand my infant over to another stranger, I'm going to push aside my reservations and go for it.
Note to women—and girls—of all ages: Feminism...the fight is not over yet. Not at all.
