I’m a proponent of scheduling your own death before these things occur. In this way, I don’t have to plan for retirement. Planning to die in a certain year (a 3 year range, in my version) allows you to get all legal paperwork handled beforehand.

Truthfully, I feel this way in all seriousness. You can run your own business no matter how old you are, and I have deliberately avoided marriage or children so that I can keep working.

I don’t see the need to retire - I’ll work until I drop dead, and then retirement planning is a non-issue. Simple!
