Howdy. I have a computer in my gym that needs a long-distance wireless keyboard and mouse. I have a long range Bluetooth USB transceiver - but the number of decent Bluetooth keyboards/mice seems to be dwindling. What's the best of the current crop?

I would recommend that you tell people NOT to fill up the SSD - performance will suffer as the drive fills. Better to spend a bit more money on a larger drive and keep it half full.

The best way is to drive it into the skull of a zombie.

Don't have children!

+1,000 - Still one of my favs. The opening sequence of Homeworld 1 was fantastic.

I'd love to see 10.8 running off of a floppy. On a 128K Mac.

Do you ever have that "not so fresh feeling?"

Speaking of staying toasty: I can't seem to find door weatherstripping that seals gaps over 1/4" - my doors suck, any ideas of what to use?

Just curious: has anyone used Freelancer.com for contract work? It seems kinda expensive with the monthly fees and commissions - is there a cheaper site to get my feet wet (that still reaches a broad audience?)

Powerbook 170, bought for $4,000 during Grad school. I think I was the first grad student to get one, and I loved that thing.

I appreciate your comments, GreasyPig. I have been laid off from my full time job and was thinking of trying to freelance using one of the job posting sites like Freelancer.com. That's a big site, but it seems pretty expensive. Anyway, if I did lots of little jobs myself, those individual jobs wouldn't 1099 me I

If you stark freelancing, and everyone pays you less than the 1099 limit (say, 10 projects for $500 each), then would you recommend incorporating as an LLC, then paying taxes on the total amount LESS expenses? Or can you do that on a Schedule C without incorporating?

$65 million? No problem! This is RIM after all - that company is so successful, they'll barely miss it. ;-)

Kirsten nekkid - WIN.

You think right, Marc! I'm beginning to think you don't know a thing about "rhetorical." ;-)

Should have sent... a poet...

Amen, non-descript person!

First thing: great article! Now... regarding the Great Silence:

Yeah, I was thinking more rhetorically, in the "future" when solar cells are a) 40% efficient, b) transparent (I think that's been done) and c) cheap. You could coat windows with it, put it all over the top of the body, etc. I know what's you're saying though - current tech, not practical.
