Stop making things up. Six hours after the assault, her blood alcohol level was .048 — more than twice the legal limit for an underage drunk driver in Florida.

Megan McArdle is a right-wing libertarian, and not someone most reasonable people consider a reputable source.

You do realize, don't you, that the BAC test was not administered at the moment of the rape?

Thanks for the unexpected laugh :)

"You also have to think of who does the major shopping at these stores for the household."

Sweet dreams, pal :)

Gotta keep reading:

Be careful on your next date, friend :) That's not exactly how courts define consent. One, it varies by court and jurisdiction. Two, the FSU Code of Conduct clearly requires affirmative consent.

You don't have to like it, but that is required under the FSU Code of Conduct.

That's not true — there is no single, blanket definition of consent in the US. It varies by jurisdiction, and changes as courts issue new rulings. Washington state, for example, revised its laws in 1975 put the burden of proof of consent on the defendant, rather than the burden of lack of consent on the state/accuser.

Calm down. You aren't even making sense here. The retailers are simply saying "We don't want to be associated with this product. It does us more harm than good."

hahahaha. barf.

That was my problem with Kara's comments. She didn't do the math.

There are too many white people/not enough black people. Mathematically, demographically, it's virtually impossible for the numbers to even out.

Thank you!
