Bug exploits like these are no different than using an Action Replay cartridge. I certainly don’t consider myself to have “properly” finished the game if I use them, so I won’t miss them.

I’m the problem for owning Wingspan and all its expansions?
People generally overestimate what old, mass-market items are really worth.
All I’m saying is that drawing on a more diverse pool can lead to more diverse ideas. You’re more likely to see novel content and ideas when you draw from a wide variety of lived experiences. I don’t think it’s a controversial statement (not to mention that it’s one of the central themes of all diversity education…
If he had said: “I have a narrow focus in my interests, and the company I run reflects those interests. I really don’t know what to make of pitches that don’t involve war or robots, so I largely steer clear of them and stick to my wheelhouse”, then he would have at least sounded honest and credible.
That Dancey thought that his original post was in any way acceptable shows that he’s living in an extremely restricted bubble within a male-dominated industry.
Sure they would. Why drive? It’s for people who live in the outer suburban fringe without proper public transport. One of the perks of living in a good suburb is the easy access to transport.
Yeah. The great thing about forums is you can dip in and out.
The problem is easily solved. Make Discord content publicly-viewable without signing in, index it like a forum, and make it visible to search engines.
The problem is you still have to sign in to Discord to view those answers. Whereas, with a web forum, you can go to the website and view the answers without signing up at all.
The Linux/Windows on Chromebook dev community has been increasingly switching to Discord in recent years, and it’s a bit of a shitshow, to be honest.
It’s amazing how many of Nintendo’s protagonists are female. Like “Pokemon” (that yellow zappy one from the “catch them all” game). She’s pretty cool as well.
Was it ever like that? It used to basically be a blog for Crecente and Ashcraft. In the early days, there were almost as many posts about cool stuff that Brian Ashcraft had seen in Japan as there were about games.
I work with plenty of twentysomethings, and constantly hear of their relationship dramas. However, I can count on one finger the number of long-term relationships that have started via apps. And in that one case, they actually knew each other beforehand anyway.
If by “Beyond Earth” you meant the far superior Alpha Centauri, then I entirely agree.
I don’t quite understand the appeal of “high-level play” either! For high-level play, the Civ series has often been kind of broken.
I tried to play one of the games in the series. After 30 minutes, it was time to get back to work and I still hadn’t found the game that was supposedly on the disc.
Damn. I paid more than that for the movie rights to Skunny the Squirrel.
Not if you skip every cutscene in every game as a matter of principle!
I hope they go easy on the cutscenes.
