No. Aesthetics means the look and feel of something.
US-only, because Black Friday is primarily a US thing.
It's a failure because nobody is buying it and game developers are giving up on it.
That's what I mean, the aesthetics and the concept are just plain wrong.
The Onion sometimes has the best "online print" news coverage, just as The Daily Show sometimes has the best TV news coverage.
A great idea. It's strange that the promo is temporary, but then NSMB2 is a strange game. It's one of those games that you pick up and aren't too impressed by, but then you find yourself getting obsessed by it to a greater extent than the previous releases in the series.
Mine is my character name from a MUD (basically, a text-based MMORPG) I created back in the mid-1990s while at university.
Yep. It's working well for them apart from the losing money bit. The only reason Sega Sammy can survive is pachinko machines. They basically pay for the consumer gaming division, which loses money.
So, the NYT and Bushnell are proposing:
Comparatively speaking, the current generation of consoles (i.e. 360 and PS3) are holding up very well.
Sure there's a difference, but is it as much of a difference as there was, say, in 2005 between the PC and the PS2?
The Gamecube, XBox and PS2 were really struggling for quality titles throughout 2004 and 2005. There was a notable drop-off in releases from their heyday, even before the new generation of consoles launched.
Do the lower specs affect gameplay yet?
I'm holding off purchasing any new console hardware at the moment, just because I have a giant backlog of content from the last year or two to get through. There's no point buying new hardware when there is still a crapload of content to get through with the current HD hardware, which still isn't showing its age.
Basically, the processor queues its instructions based on data availability, rather than a strict execution order. Branch prediction performance is also improved, because results can be immediately discarded due to mis-prediction.
The Wii U uses and out-of-order CPU, unlike the 360 and PS3.
Here is his full quote:
I'm waiting to see if they manage to pull off the UI on the iPad. In crowded battles, the original PC version needed some pretty precise clicking.
I'm wondering if they saw the final hardware when they "took an early look at it". Rumours about the Wii U clock speed changed every time a devkit release came out, likely because they were tweaking the hardware.
