I've spent the last two weeks doing one thing: trying to learn Dota 2.
Honestly as much as I love the games I don't feel like CDPR does the best job portraying his character, in the games he does seem pretty bland whereas in the books you really get the sense that he's just a lonely, ostracised dude trying to do right in a world that no longer needs him.
