The stereotype of these particular gay men doesn’t bug me all that much. Yes it’s an old trope, but played for laughs it can still be quite funny. I don’t feel represented (I’m gay, but don’t identify with this overly flowery behavior) but I also don’t feel offended when I see this stereotype. See Bolson in Breath of

I have as much of an issue with people who say “everything is political” with those who also say “everything is art”. Not only does it strip the meanings from those words, it also sets up a situation where every argument you can make is pointless because they’re only going to focus on blanket statements than

If everything is political, then nothing is political. When a word lacks specific meaning and is used to describe anything, it serves no purpose.

Is there objective truth in our subjective realities? I think I’d agree with you here regarding how loaded all of our actions are and are dictated by societal structures, my only point was to say that there are plenty of people who do not see things through this paradigm. And, to them, politics is a much more limited

I don’t think his comments were confusing at all. Especially with his other statements further clarifying the matter. To some people, the definition of politics means what its dictionary definition would claim it to be, and not something inherent to all of human interaction, as if it’s a force of nature or culture.

Because male and female bodies are anatomically different, and have to be modeled differently in video games. Modelling clothing requires money that isn’t going to be paid by the vast minority that complains about not being able to cross-dress in every single outfit.

I’d assume because they’re not just skins wrapped around the character like in WoW, they’re actual clothing models that have to be built and tested for each body model to make sure they don’t clip anywhere or look weird in any of their many animations. There are a number of items that can be equipped by both genders

No he didn’t.

The full quote was, "Just you! That’s it, I’m all done now!"

It’s funny because everyone in the comments of all the articles written about this agree that he clearly did not meant having sex with her for the various (and obvious) reasons they put forward. Except for the writers of the articles...they don’t get it. So yea, this is a prime example of Click Bait. The publicist

Jim Carrey is known for writing and playing over-the-top, immature characters in movies, sure, but he’s not known for being a creep IRL, so I’m not sure where this “of course” is coming from. Do we not know how to fiction anymore?

What step further?  He said “it’s all done now” meaning, the interview, so he can check it off the bucket list.

It wasn’t a sexual comment.

Yeah I gotta say, the “I’m all done now!” makes it pretty clear he’s referring to this interview which from what I’ve heard those press junket tours are just horrible.

Watch it again, outrage police. He was referring to being interviewed by her. Nothing there suggested he was being inappropriate. Nothing except the shit starter who wrote the article and then you, of course.

Honestly, I’m flexing all over the place here and I still can’t make that remark resemble a come-on. To my mind, he clearly meant “just this interview with you”. I have read this in all kinds of voices in my wee head, but I can’t make it seem vulgar or creepy. Sorry, Jezebel. I think you might be off on this one!

It’s not a problem for small people, generally. The issue with reclining isn’t that it takes up a few inches of room near your chest. The issue for taller people is that the recline bangs into their knees, which are often touching the seatback to begin with.

Yeah, no heroes here. That said, I am definitely in the no-recline camp. Yes, my right to recline is implicit by the presence of a reclining mechanism in my seat. But this is one case where being technically correct is the worst kind of correct. There is a flesh-and-blood human behind me whose experience becomes measur

I know I will catch heat for this, but here I go.... it seemed to me as if he was referring to being interviewed by her and that she took it that way, as well.  Especially since he added that he had accomplished it (“I’m done”).  Granted, everything Jim Carrey says tends to come out a little creepy, but I think this

People who recline are monsters. Full stop.
