localization and censorship are not mutually exclusive things. Plenty forms of media get censored during the localization process, this does not make it not censorship.

Steam got rid of the daily deals and flash sales for one simple reasons. It would have swamped the new steam refund feature with people refunding stuff when it went on a deeper discount to rebuy it for the lower price. Dealing with that would have been a nightmare.

You don’t have to be policed for self censorship. You mearly have to fear you will be policed if you don’t do it yourself beforehand.

Voice actors rarely match the race or even sometimes gender of the person they are voicing.
