People have been giving Twitter suggestions on how to curb the abuse for years. A popular one is account age filter. It's apparently worked well for others as most trolls aren't the patient sort..

Nah that was a pretty dick move
Law and Order: SVU is doing another ripped-from-the-headlines episode that touches on video games, this one focused on a female game developer determined to release her creation amidst a storm of online harassment.
Seems more like indicators that Nintendo is even more anti-social than the other platforms. Other interpretations would be afraid of modern society, scared of taking risks, or being horribly out of date when it comes to how people interact.
I don't even know what your on about. You start off going on about "Justice warriors" but then your entire post seems to be some absurd satire of a "Justice Warrior"?
Well a few people have done that. Notch resisted the urge when Youtube offered him all the money being made off Minecraft and instead let people monetize off it without a peep or penny between them and Mojang. Several other indie devs have done the same thing.
A pity such a strong cast is being wasted on a hollow remake of a long dead 80's franchise instead of being used to build a new and more interesting (than a remake at least) independent world.
On the upside. At least GG never flooded kotaku and other sites with child porn.
Lets not kid ourselves. There was plenty of threats and harassment going both ways from both sides both at a individual and at a group level.
Also got Manhunt up there which was basically made to generate controversy.
The fact that her list of pet peeves is actually viewed as feminist sensibilities is what I don't like. To call her a feminist is a bad joke. Her critiques are about as worthwhile as that lady who thinks Monster energy drinks are in league with Satan.
When a self described feminist (someone ostensibly fighting the existence of sexism), calls a game, not part of a game but a game itself, sexist.. it is probably a reasonable conclusion they would rather that game doesn't exist. It is literally the game that popped first and foremost into her mind when asked to name…
Unfortunately Sony didn't predict the advent of the multi-core CPU. They figured we would just keep getting faster and faster single cores. The engine was scaled around that idea and of the higher detail settings being usable with more powerful equipment that wasn't around yet.
Right. And in Eq2's you don't have those limitations. You can have a character look the way you want them to look. My Main was a Shadow Knight but I had them decked out in a dragon embroidered robe and a necromancer dragon skull helm with a mace and shield replacing my 2 handed sword. I made him into a Dragon Templar…
While they are at it they can steal EQ2's much better auction house. And their appearance armor system that lets you change the graphics of your equipment to anything you can get your hands on, for free.
31 different annotations on widowmakers butt all making the same kind of comment. It's like seeing people try and be first on a youtube video even when it's clear many have come before them.
I would call Mercy middle of the road. Covered but still designed to be sexy. Boob plate is typically frowed upon but it's design flaws really only apply to swords and arrows.. isn't really going to matter against lasers and rocket launchers.
It's common enough that it happens a lot and has its own term? That it became a term in 2008 and here we are 6 years later and still commenting on its commonality? And Men are not harassed by trolls online? Where have you been? Men are not harassed by trolls online for being MEN. Usually. In any case maybe dial back…
White privilege is having white technology screw up so there isn't proof of your wrong doings.
Comes down to personal boundaries i guess. Outside of the guy following beside her in the video I didn't see anything that I would have really felt was harassment if it was me. Being told to smile registers as a minor annoyance at best but that's just me. Other people feel differently about it which is where the…
