Assuming the limitless reserves of cash and sanity that PCH commenters do, I have to go with the two 750's. But I'd make three cars out of them.

Jeez, all the lefty political blogs I visit regularly have been beating Tom Friedman like a rented mule for years. Now you guys, too? Is there no respite on the entire Internets from the backlash against this man's idiocy?
@m_stolle:
I love the mating octopi look of all those intake runners. But I'd tend to agree that if you were looking for an engine for a project car, you could do better. This might be interesting (and, one could argue, proper), in an old XR4Ti, assuming it would bolt up. And you could probably make a mini-Ferrari/deathtrap by…
@JSmith53:
Just one beef: Why call the XK 6 engine "archaic"? It may be now, and while it was over ten years old then it was still state of the art (particularly at its price point). And it hung around until the 90's. With its longevity and racing pedigree, it's one of the best motors of all time, man, up there with the…
This question makes me a little sad. I've been stayed in relationships for the wrong reasons before, but I've never dated a woman with an interesting car. Here's the rundown of the rides of women I've been seriously involved with:
Now this is proper Project Car Hell. Either one would be a nightmare, but I think I'll go Skoda since, as pointed out above, it has less support stateside. Plus, it's older, appears to be rustier, and I like the look of it.
As a Chicago Bears/Sex Cannon fan, I'm offended. As a fan of 340 bhp inline sixes, I'm putting aside my offense and voting E34.
I don't give a sweet rat's ass what it looks like. Give me a small, light rear drive coupe that's economical with Toyota levels of build quality and Subie levels of fun, and I'll drive it.
I have to go with the P1800. Now, if the Sonnet was one of the older models with the two-stroke engine, my vote might have been different. I could mix the fuel for my Lawn Boy and my car all in one giant barrel.
Classic: P1800
I ended up voting E34, for its lightness and sexiness, on the assumption/hope that the 850CSi will someday represented bloated, tech-burdened BWMs in the JFG.
I'm torn between the E34 and the E39. They're both so...Bruce. Just as long as it's not the aesthetically challenged E60 (although I do respect its performance credential), I'm happy.
Why stop at a Ford/Chevy chimera? Why not graft on some door skins from a second-gen charger (with their distintive scallops), and paint the whole thing in the red, white, and blue livery of the AMC Rebel Machine? Some Porsche phone dial wheels, and VTEC/Type-R badges from Pep Boys would complete the look.
@badco:
I love Mopars, and the three on the tree scores big points with me, but the Dart looks like it might actually limp home if you poured some gas in the carb, replaced the tires and brake pads, and washed it.
As a midwesterner, I am astounded by this car. The A-body coupes didn't exactly have great rustproofing, so by the mid-1980's, most had returned to the earth.
