I think my parents are pretty cool about it, so that's a lot of potential source of pressure that doesn't exist. I've made it pretty clear that I'd rather have a houseful of electronics than kids.

exactly, I feel like somebody who knows they wouldn't be a good parents or isn't interested in being a parent and having kids is the worst thing ever (unless they change their mind), because those kids would grow up with a disinterested parent.

i made the decision a long time ago that kids weren't for me. back then it was a lot of "you're young, you'll change your mind" but as I get older and older, I get that less and less. I'm turning 30 in a few years and I expect that sentiment to drop to even more.
