I'm still not seeing any evidence of these claims of it being "old tech". Are you just assuming this because of the Wii or are we all believing the reports of anonymous sources and NeoGaf over those of Nintendo themselves and actual 3rd party devs now?

I'm calling $300.

"If there were a bunch of dudes only wearing speedos, you wouldn't hear all the male writers crying, they would just ignore it and move on."

"That is what modeling is in any field"

"Empty shell of a human" is kinda unnecessarily harsh. Just because a woman is attractive and takes a job like this(there's an awful lot of people who would be willing to take any job at all) doesn't make her an empty shell.

The internet's a big place. Don't let the idiots get you down.

How about we change both? Just because we have to live with most popular games having shallow, empty husks of story and gameplay doesn't mean we also have to deal with random near-strippers peddling them.

This is why I go to GDC. It's like E3 but for adults.

Further back a bit and it harkens to the days of Shadows of the Empire. Just flat-out never get to be a Jedi.

"I don't need to move my head/eyes/and readjust the controller im using to look at a map when all i have to do is press a button and see it on screen. Much rather do that, takes less time, more efficient."

Ah, good call. Beat me to it.

M Bison is there too, a bit above that purple thing's nose.

Hmm true... lets see... Myst? Myst doesn't have any violence... unless you count someone being trapped violent. They're few and far between, but that's kinda my point. A lot of the non-violent genres in other mediums wouldn't really work for video games.

True, and there are some major games that make huge leaps in that regard(portal, for example, or Ace Attorney). There's just something about the video game medium that makes violence the de facto standard. I mean, I can't imagine playing a romantic comedy, for example, would be in any way fun.

Because you don't really need to take your eyes completely away from the screen. You still have peripheral vision and it gives you added controls over UI elements that are just impossible without it.

Typically in TES vampirism makes most other characters dislike you and makes it kill you if you walk out in daylight, which kinda balances it out.

Idk if *you* do, but I certainly do. Well, I should clarify: I want a short ranged wirelessly tethered gamepad with built-in screen with 3-5 hour battery life(capable of being charged while in use) as my controller.

Which makes sense, to a degree. Stories have to involve some sort of conflict and it's generally fairly difficult to come up with conflicts that don't involve some kind of external adversary.

"(other than Pikmin, of course)"

Yep. I expect this will allow for some additional functionality, since it isn't tied to an exact orientation of the screens relative to each other, though I honestly don't expect much to come of that outside the arena of gimmicky casual games.
