“The weight is a sign of reliability”
Smokey 1: best movie ever, any genre
Smokey 2: good if you ignore the elephant
Smokey 3: okay, you have a point
Cannonball Run: “actually terrible”? Them’s fightin’words.
I’ve never read a more wrong comment on Jalopnik, ever.
Smokey and the bandit sucks...
I’ll take the bait - the Fast and Furious movies. They’re not good car movies. In fact, I’d argue they’re not even car movies, they’re just heist movies that, for the first few installations, hopped on the tuner car bandwagon and used street racing as a plot point (literally only the first film.)
Alternate alternate idea: don’t shit on other people’s idea of a good vacation.

Honestly BaT is this vehicle’s best bet. As far as I can tell, that website is frequented by drunks who have “eff you money” and no spouse.
They weren’t the first to dabble in airplanes:
I think my 1978 Ranchero would like to have a word with you...
its an excellent choice, there is also the VW Golf GTI (not sure if there was VW Rabbit GTI back then.
Excellent choice--these are blast to drive.
Hmm. . . ‘79's not exactly the greatest year for cars, so just gimme an LP400 S. Wingless, please.
Its like $1700 for the OEM replacement - I caught people in the act on mine and they took off in their car down the sidewalk.. just had to get the cuts sealed up. Got a Aerogenics guard on there now
Honda Element’s are popular too because they are easy to access and fairly valuable. I believe they can scrap them for like $800-1000. And it is expensive to get an OEM replacement. Multiple people make guards for Elements and other commonly hit vehicles.
Priuses are very popular because OEM cats are the only game in town so the thieves can come back and hit them more than once if not protected. A local company manufacturers those guards. getcatsecurity.com
The interior of that Bentley is god awful. The interior of the yacht is quite handsome. Why that is the case, I do not know.
This isn’t a reason to not buy a Mclaren SLR, it’s a reason to not buy a neglected supercar. New steering rack? a well-maintained one probably won’t need one of those. And if you keep a car up it won’t need everything at once and probably a whole lot less.
