Gen 4 would like a word. The battle system was finally balanced, all types were viable, and it took like a dozen useless pokemon from gens 1-3 and made them relevant.

Also, it has Cynthia. AKA the most badass character in the franchise, and the best boss battle.

Not unrealistic. 800 of them are already coded and animated. During the development of XY they specifically used higher fidelity models for pokemon because they expected to be using them for 10 years or more. The work was mostly done before these games were even announced. The only new work is the new pokemon.
