Honestly, as far as fantasy-themed MMOs go, I had the most fun with TERA out of all the others I've tried. The combat really makes a difference, but there's also little things like the humor and the lovely environments that kept me going.
In the closed beta I stuck to the Arachnea server. Although, I may not get a chance to participate in the open beta due to moving.
I've always loved Halo's music. Martin O'Donnell & Michael Salvatori are among my top played artists, actually. The style of the music has changed quite a bit since the first game, but it always seems to match the tone of the game. Oh, those games you listed. Definitely flawed games, but so damn fun for their own reasons.
I still enjoy the fact that I can throw a watch-controlled mine on a guy taking a dump in a bathroom stall. Facility was my favorite level because of that. Not many games allow you to do something so hilarious.
