We're missing the bigger issue here: It's not that cars are easier to drive. Drivers license is too simple to obtain. Make the test more demanding, the training more intensive, the requirements less lenient. All that means less moronic drivers on the road.

Replace all of the hosts of Top Gear US with Jay Leno please. It will probably be worth watching then. The current hosts are so droll, and their emotions always feel so forced. I like Top Gear UK because they have genuine dynamic together, not so much with US, not at all with US, really.

Never had to go through the experience. My brother has an FJ Cruiser, and they just got recalled. He called the dealership about it, and they said he'd get a letter in the mail when it's ready to be repaired (read about the recall online; hopefully it's not just lazy techs).
