Mulder and Scully work because they have a personal interest in The X-files. Scully didn’t at first, but after her abduction and the murder of her sister it became personal for her.

I’m assuming the episode is a comedic one and they have those names because they’re supposed to be an over the top representation of Mulder and Scully. If that’s not the case, then opportunity wasted because that would have been hilarious.

I’m greedy. I want all three.

Wish they’d have brought Marita Covarrubias back. Laurie Holden would have been a nice addition. And she was very much alive after the finale.

I think a lot of shippers can live with a break up as long as they share a bed, make out and vacation together. I believe we’ve found common ground. It’s a good day. :-)

They didn’t share a motel room. That was their bed at the farmhouse. You can see Mulder’s fish tank in the background when they get up.

Not sure where she’s working implies they are broken up. Mulder isn’t living alone. He’s living with Scully.

Note to all non shippers. They were not “together” in this scene. So how did them getting together ruin the show? The exact same scene would play out the same way if they were “together”. Of course non shippers probably hate this scene.

I keep seeing George Lucas comparisons. I feel he’s more like Lucas. All those people you mentioned (minus Roddenberry of course) should hold an intervention and get Carter to admit he has a problem and he needs to let it go.

In a scene, Scully says to Mulder “We are two people who come home at night. To a home now. I don’t want that darkness in my home.” When he refuses to drop the case she says “... I won’t be coming home.”
