I voted crack pipe, purely because my girlfriend-at-the-time had a hand-me-down exactly like this from her parents. It was utterly, utterly broken and nothing that got fixed ever stayed fixed.
Which is itself a rebadged Nissan/Renault. It's a little larger (too close to the existing vans in cargo volume, if not footprint) and even though it looks incredibly fresh, is a 12-year-old design.

If it's going to fit below global Ranger, it's got to be based on Escape or Transit Connect, depending on whether they think the market is likely to be mainly kids or small tradesmen trading down from an F150, or fleet buyers.
