Yeah, and that’s not a bad thing. Game development has always been very iterative, games naturally build off of the ones before them and combine elements from other games in interesting new ways. Basically every game can be called “another take on X”. I mean, Stardew Valley was just another take on Harvest Moon.

Don’t forget about the gameboy camera and printer. Nothing says fun like taking terrible black and white selfies on your gameboy and then hooking it up to a printer the same size as the gameboy. It was a struggle convincing my parents to buy more paper once I ran out.

Just as strange as going to blockbuster to use

They’ve started to get more lax in schools as well. Late by a day? Well, you’re losing a point, but you’ll still get most of it.

Like what? Because I see nothing wrong with taking a vacation day to go to the Nilfgaardian Empire. Some people just have different priorities.

I've always liked this one better:

The name seems terrible. I forsee a lot of confused parents not knowing what to buy, like the Wii U vs Wii fiasco.

Look at that face. He's clearly a serial killer, after all of our children!

He's also the author of the book above, which is the main reason I went with this tutorial. But yeah, his humor isn't very funny.

That's because a lot of us either don't mind the ASCII, or use a tileset. The Mayday Tileset is one of the better tilesets out there.

Don't feel dumb; The learning curve to play dwarf fortress is very sharp, and it will often take people a dozen fortresses or more to just make it through the first year. If you feel like giving it another shot, here is probably one of the best tutorials out there.

This analogy is horrible. Setting a seat on fire would hurt those who are around me regardless of whether they choose to participate or not. By your analogy, if I hack my PSP, it will hack everyone's around me and force them to be a pirate. This is obviously not the case. It'd be more comparible to if I modified the

OK, there's no one around. I can finally kill this guy. Wait, my bounty increased? Who saw me? Kill the mud crab nearby. Bounty decreases.
