When I was very young, cars came from three places: my grandmother's Renault (I think I am the only person with a fond memory of the Alliance) was naturally French; Mom's Mazda was Japanese; and everything else was American.

@SpainIsInYurp: I'm curious, how are the Skodas better than SEATs since they are the same platforms? Unless the Spanish have British Leyland quality standards.

@CaptSwerve: A favorite trick at Target is to put an item in the weekly sale ad, then sale signs that say "As Advertised". Really it is the everyday price, just "advertised".

@kane2742: Because someone else determined that for their own job security, it had to be done.

Too bad it doesn't work.

@GuardDuck: Sounds like eastern Oklahoma.

I thought the issue was with the carriers not sending the correct time updates to the handsets. At least that was my conclusion last year.

You know, it's verboten to say so, but I preferred the old punch a chad out ballots.

@Froggmann hates Hondas: The Bristol is also American on the inside. This is the guy at the pub who is passing information, but you never know who he's working for.

Chevy HHR. With the automatic, of course. No acceleration until you (finally!) hit 30, then okay acceleration. Impossible to see out of, so you have to slow down more just to be sure you know where the track is.

Smart FourTwo

Frankly, Mythbusters stopped doing careful science by the end of the first season.

I'm going to point something out that's apparently missed. To quote: "I'm on the 101 halfway up some mountain outside Ventura, California...."

@rupertgregory: You should look up the difference between RON and AKI measurements. The US uses AKI, Europe and others RON. Ultimately, we run the same fuel.

@Skunky: I will also since I'm paying that for California minimum on my Volvo.
