Eh. I’ve had plenty of dudes run screaming from me based on my intellect/job/demanding personality. I’ve also dated guys that found those traits really attractive. It’s almost as if men are all unique beings with their own likes and desires...

They are run by a bunch of old white guys who’ve been sexually harassing women all their lives so they don’t see the big deal and would rather fight it in court.

I love how “granny panties” are in. I remember ten years ago it was thong, thong, thong, THONG! Those things are uncomfortable. Now, women are like, “Give me the biggest pair of underwear you’ve got!” “Don’t you want a sexy pair?” “Fine, give me the biggest pair of underwear you’ve got and put a bow on it. Done.”

Yes! People see my opinion of “no guns for anyone” as “extreme” but I work in public health and I have no idea why people think that something that has 0 advantage as owning a gun and lots of risks for the gun owner and his household members and even friends is seen as anything but a public health threat. I’m willing

There was a “dispute,”

Not gonna lie, but if that’s how frats would normally haze folks, it’d be a much better world.

This article sums up well one of the real sticking points in the ever shifting debate that goes on in my head regarding having children.
Right now, NOBODY cares what I do. As a 30-something, my parents have long since given up on any hopes and dreams they may have had for me. My boss knows I’m pretty capable and

So, a person who has worked their way up to owning, say, a small business and their own home over the years should have to forfeit it to the government upon his or her death? And being middle class is “rich”? OK.

Because my siblings and I shouldn’t inherent anything from my parents? All the family keepsakes, their house, their cars should get sold off because taxes?

I’m all about finding diverse stories to tell, BUT. If you’re a blonde woman with a production company and you want to buy the rights to a story that will be starring YOU....

The people of Ireland haven’t, and are still campaigning to repeal the 8th amendment to the constitution.

Thanks for the expansion, although it appears as a strange mix of ignorance and xenophobia. I’m from Northern Ireland, and while it is in many ways an awful place, one thing I can assure you is that its people do not aspire to be English. And I say that with affection and respect to my English friends. Did you mean

If anyone reading this is feeling suicidal right now, remember that you are not alone, and that you don’t have to fix this all by yourself. What you are experiencing is very, very hard, but you will not always feel like this. Things are going to get better.

It translates to, basically, “Sinead, you are beautiful and loved. Remember your Irish spirit and don’t let the bastards get you down.”

I feel terrible for Sinead. I grew up in Ireland and watched her go from a really strong, talented young woman who always had to guts to talk to power and took responsibility for way more than it was really her job to carry, to someone who just seemed to feel constantly harassed and lost in life, and with good reason.

I feel it’s more of an American thing not to like that, I don’t know why. The characters are all so awkward and aloof and not entirely likeable, it might be the reason. Or some cultural elements? I don’t know. I think it’s one of the best of the rom com genre.

The opening scene about people at the airport? I cry and die.

I always cry when Emma Thompson implodes in her bedroom (with Joni Mitchell in the background), when Olivia Olson sings All I Want For Christman, and yes, during God Only Knows. Always. Every time. Sometimes I also cry during the intro, depending on my mood. Yes, I’ve seen this film probably every year since it came

Mark Rufflalo beats Chris Brown hands down anyday!
