Hey! Take that back about Voyager. Voyager was not bland! Voyager was my favorite. DS9 was great, TNG was the best, but Voyager was the most fun for me. I feel like the Voyager crew is my family.

So excited. I'm just giddy right now.

What did he say? I haven't watched any of the episodes yet. I'm recording the whole season to watch in one sitting.

I didn't look into it that deeply. The truth is, I don't even know what time they show. Everything gets DVR'd, or torrented, or rented from Amazon or iTunes, or watched on Hulu. I watch very few shows (maybe 5), and none in their appointed time, so it wouldn't have even occurred to me to check the time slot.

I know that's the premise of her character, that she's his opposite. But I mean, I hope they don't make it a one-off adventure, but that she is some overarching arch behind the series. Basically, I mean yes, her character is his Moriarty, but I also want her plot to be recurring and the same thing. Does that make

Willa is just... awkward...

Holy crap, they're going into a 9th season now... too much. My favorite part of a good show, is it ending gracefully. Not to mention the whole birth in a manger thing was a hop skip and a jump over the shark. Also, Emily is by far my favorite Deschanel. Not a fan of Zoey.

Have the ratings been that bad? Damn Fridays. I noticed they moved Bones to a new hour. Why? Shouldn't that show be running down now? They could have used whatever cachet it had to try and build up The Finder.

I always think of precogs too. In a certain sense, this show feels like a Minority Report TV show set today. I would pay to see that.

Look, I'm sorry if I came off as offensive. I didn't mean to. But I'm not crazy. I might take it for granted because Game Theory is one of the things I do, but I always thought one good thing about the show is that everything is explained from day one. The only thing kept secret is the algorithm. But the machine isn't

I really wish io9 did The Finder Recaps. I'm sure many io9 readers would love the show as much as me.

It monitors every conversation and video feed as data points in a threat analysis (key words, sentence structure, frequency, etc.), identifying players by their social security number or public ident. This has been explained. It's actually a fairly standard threat assessment system, but made more sophisticated and

I did not like it at all. If they said the next season (if renewed) would be this setting and such, I would just ask that they not renew it. I can live with a Epitaph 1 & 2 sort of finale in that world, but I'm not down for a whole new set of adventures. Blah.

but we do know what the destructive capacity of the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki (number of people dead and square footage of destruction).

Evolution isn't just survival of the fittest. It's survival of the least unfit, survival of the un-pressured, and survival of the... oh whatever. Point is, some traits survive because they improve things and some traits survive because they don't worsen the situation. Why should corporations be any different. Their

I like how in the end you almost worry that the parachute won't spread out in time. I can't wait till these become more openly available, and I hope I'm not too old to play.

I really do feel weird that I felt that. Something about the way it looked. I had a similar though less intense feeling with the flour on fire one.

The fireworks indoors one is what my dreams are made of. My heart was fluttering from pure, dare I say, sexual anticipation. What an odd feeling.

"That way, they could be in a bubble for three days and not have to worry about anything except pounding it out"

.Mobi isn't Amazon's core format. It's just one of the formats they allow and one of the earliest they allowed. I've been a Kindle user since day one. I remember when Kindles couldn't read .mobi until the first update. Their core format is .azw. My point was that with each iteration, the Kindle can read just about any
