My dad had this on his forefinger where his fingernail should have been. I never knew what the condition was called, so as I kid, I told my friends he had a wooden finger instead of a wooden leg because he didn’t make it as a pirate.

A special needs Bangladeshi child, to be exact. But that didn’t stop Karl Rove, and the Bush 2000 campaign from sending out a flyer later in the South Carolina Primary claiming this daughter was born out of wedlock due to an affair McCain had with a *whisper*black woman*whisper*.

You just know Cindy McCain is one of those people who’s constantly sharing the histrionic Facebook posts about how a man was in the same two sections of Target as she was, and at one point the camera from his phone was facing the same general direction as her and her child, and then he was looking at carrots but later

I mean, I get that if you assume he’s guilty... if he’s not, it’s hard on both parties for no good reason.

That assumes that he is guilty. The Serial podcast and the more detailed “Undisclosed” podcast that Chaudry did offer some pretty compelling insights into the case that point to his innocence.

I remember one of my student's essays..most of it was barely coherent, semiliterate waffle except for one lengthy passage that was clear, concise and well researched. She was cunning though: she made sure to lift that section in its entirety from a professor at this obscure, backwater university called..um..Cambridge?

Merchants of Truth? Is it some kind of sequel?

Looks like Melania Trump has found her biographer.

She lifted someone’s story about a man named Jed
A poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed,
And then one day she was shootin off her mouth,
And now she’s all shocked that it’s all gone south.

Exactly.  Leaving aside his politics and the accusations against him, his performance before the committee was in and of itself disqualifying.  He demonstrated that he does not have the right temperament to be a judge in any court (appellate or the Supreme Court).

While $32K is a good sum for a Senator... there MAY be a problem.

That’s my biggest takeaway. Even if you didn’t believe his accuser you should have seen that this asshole was so temperamental and moody, and was so devoid of any legal cunning that he wasn’t fit for the job.

How anyone could watch Kavanaugh’s congressional testimony and conclude he had the right judicial temperament for the Supreme Court is beyond mind-boggling. Susan Coward and go fuck herself.

“alarmed and disturbed” by those who argued that supporting an accused sexual assaulter was “condoning sexual assault.”

The hypocrisy of the whole “evangelical” crowd makes my skin crawl.

Matt Foley has a better “judicial temperament” than Brett Kavanaugh. Say what you will about his effectiveness, but at least he’s got a dim comprehension of what alcohol abuse is, and the fact that it’s bad.

The phrase “judicial temperament” appled to BK is such a corncob turd on top of that shit sundae.

My take:

Not only did this coddled asshole have this cruel and idiotic take, but he thought nothing about expressing it in public, no less.
