Don’t get your own man-child testicles in a knot, just pointing out what should be obvious to anyone thinking in terms of transporting people and things in a city where most don’t have cars.

Um how about for New Yorkers, most of whom don’t have vehicles, and do need to lug larger items around from time to time. Or simply if we’re out with our friends and just want to take a taxi together?

Same here.

Same here.

I’m curious what were the circumstances of the falling out? Also, sorry you are dealing with this.

I’ve been on the fence about re-upping my prime subscription. This basically sealed the deal against it. I can stream everything BUT Amazon via my Chromecast. Not going to buy a Fire-stick just to get prime.

Well, shipped units with vinyl is almost always the same as sold units as vinyl is nonreturnable once purchased from the distributor. While a good catch, unlike CDs, the shipped and sold numbers for vinyl should be very very close.

Well, it’s been interesting to see how my neighborhood in Brooklyn has become much much noisier over the past 5 or so years. I would bet most of those complaints are construction combined with wealthy drunk NYU students.

And I got the answer to my query after a little digging. The RIAA is using vinyl’s gross revenue and comparing that to streaming’s net revenue. It’s comparing apples with bicycles. I mean, vinyl runs between $15 and $20 and album at retail but that’s not what the label gets. That’s probably closer to $10-$12. Then

I am assuming you are also in the music business because being in the business myself I had the same question. Vinyl sales count for such a very small percentage of overall sales and we’ve now reached a point where streaming has overtaken digital sales, and digital trumps physical by a mile. I just can’t see how these

Not surprised as much as annoyed. I find it more frequent in situations where there are fewer cars available. I feel like it’s being done to keep you locked into that uber when another option may be faster for you. Worse I’ve had times float and float to the point where I could no longer cancel without incurring the

JFK is more convenient than LGA for you? Wow. I would have thought LGA for downtown as well.

Because after a certain amount of time you have to pay a fee for cancelling your uber even if they take too long. Also, why wait 10 mins if you only need to wait 2 mins?

It mentions the ETA changing after confirming the car. Also, it’s a reasonable assumption that if a car on a map is a black away from you the vehicle will arrive in 60 seconds or less. So if the map goes from 5 cars within a block or two to one vehicle 6 blocks away it will make a difference.

I care but only because I am lazy. If there are 5 cars in the vicinity going to pick me up within 60 seconds that is the option I will pick. If there is one car in the area with a 5-10 minute wait time I probably won’t bother and try and grab a cab. Sorry, just want one step to grab a car.

Good to know, I had always assumed that due to the very short lengths of the runways larger planes weren’t allowed. I’ve still never seen a very large plane at that airport.

I’ve been travelling out of the NY area airports on business for 20 years now, at least a dozen flights a year originating out of the NY area. ULGA has always been my airport of choice because it’s more convenient and more civilised than the rest. unsure why you want to have an internet fight about it.

This is the least traveled of the 3 airports. Almost no international flights unless they are short trips and security tends to move faster than both Newark or JFK.

Least crowded of the trinity of Newark, JFK, & LGA. That said, LGA lacks cross country flights due to the length of the runways...

Ha, nope. That’s the whole point of an airport though. It’s not a place to hang out. It’s a place you go that is a gateway to leaving thus I don’t need it to be opulent, just functional and safe!

This is an airport, not a spa or a hotel. It’s typically the least crowded, least hassle and is closest to my house. I fly in and out of LGA whenever I can.
