There's so much hypocrisy in AEG's founder supporting those "family friendly" causes while hosting a weekend like Coachella (no shade) that I can't really take his support of those issues seriously. Another conservative speaking out of both sides of his mouth for the sake of a dollar.
The underrating of Jean Grae is a travesty. Love her.
I actually he thought he was trying to be funny at first. I reminded me of Axl Rose on the first notes.
I would rock different shoes but I really think this dress is a cute version of chaos!
Seriously! I was so focused on him that I almost missed the point of the story!
And this gif is exactly why Beyonce's new song, "No Angel", evokes laughs when I hear it.
someone...married....this....guy...? (that is all)
I am soooo happy that you grabbed this pic and so pissed at Rivers for making me have to answer "what kind of necklace is he wearing? " by explaining the existence of the bolo to my kid.
No honey, haven't you heard, they are all sweet potato Southern Belles and northern women are soooo crazy.
I don't think it's weird to do something that seems crazy in a once in a lifetime moment of euphoria. Not to mention, running to the other side of the car wouldn't have made it as easy for Drew to interview her or the audience to get a look at her...just saying.
I like to think that some of my parenting has this air of straight talk to it...thanks Patricia Clarkson
So, the new dirty talk is to call your man and ask him for some "hot beefy McD"...this commercial couldn't have run today without all kinds of innuendo talk in the twitterverse lol. Love Costanza though and I the McDLT was the only burger that I liked because it didn't cause a cosmic meltdown when I said "no onions…
This officially robs me of any feels that I may have given to all of the really insignificant news items over the past week! Duck dynasty, justine sacco, black jesus, and white santa can all go to hell, I've devoted all feels to people who need it.
thank you for posting this, the girls in the office are getting a kick out of this one:
I have been reading the Divergent series by Veronica Roth and this tone scale and your explanation makes me think of their different factions. I don't get how anyone can believe in Scientology but I guess they would say the same of other "religions"
Thanks for the civil response, it's unusual when people disagree on Jez sometimes, so I appreciate it. I too will be putting some time into listening/viewing the album and believe me my daughter called after school to thank me for the purchase (I sent it as an ITunes gift), I just want the women like you to encourage…
Missed the point...I didn't say that it isn't influential, celebrity is influential on it's own, whether it's Angelina adopting children of color or Beyonce referencing Adichie, there is power in celebrity.
Agreed on the RHOA front, but at what point does it become less about who "they" tell us are role models and more about who "we" believe are role models.
I don't have to go on Tumblr or any farther than your comment to understand what young black girls are saying, I have a teenage daughter and I happen to be a music lover so I understand.
