There’s a difference between being an asshole and being racist. They aren’t mutually exclusive though. There is no law in the U.K that says you can’t be an asshole. The government should be in the business of protecting minority groups from the majority.

She’ll be in jail for all of a couple of hours while they write out her court summons. At that point she will be free to go. She will be fined by the courts and potentially made to perform some sort of community service.
