I think a person is being inappropriate anytime they suggest that someone is lesser because of a physical feature, and say they should get painful surgery to fix the supposed deficiency. That goes for the comments here, as well as the (far more common) comments women get about their physical features.

This sounds like the kind of absurd trash talking lots of friends do with each other. It would be like me telling my red head friend, “Gingers shouldn’t have rights” and them firing back about me needing a stool to reach the top shelf or something. Sharp barbs between friends are fun if everyone is on board.

It just

This is absurd. Even just reading the text, there is no way anyone should misconstrue this as anything but a joke about how much she likes tall men. It may be a poor joke by some standards, but a joke nonetheless. She’s not trying to enact policy to take away the rights of short men, or sincerely advocating for the

Not as bad as Cyberpunk though

His sentence will be reduced on appeal. I’m assuming he didn’t need a public defender and had enough money left for a semi-competent defense.

When you put it like that then yes, it sounds like overkill, but then I remember this people implemented anti tampering measures inside their piracy enabling OS that would brick your console, even if you paid for their software. They have no moral principles, so fuck ‘em all.

but it sure seems excessive that he’s losing three years of his life due to selling video game modchips.

I don’t like the sympathetic tone of this article. Someone’s gotta be made the example.

I’m not sure how consolidation leads to crap games? Since being acquired by Bethesda, Arkane, Machine Games, Tango Softworks and id have put out great games. Same goes for the numerous studios Sony has acquired. Consolidation can lead to crap games but it’s certainly not an inevitability.

There’s quite a lot of interesting stories about the day-to-day existence of Obsidian being a scramble to stay afloat, and how Sega cancelling their Aliens RPG and then Microsoft cancelling Stormlands almost destroyed them. They had to shed employees and do the Pillars of Eternity Kickstarter as a Hail Mary to keep

Its really easy to say that when you're not running a company that is CONSTANTLY having to fundraise so that you can make payroll for your employees. I can attest it's a very stressful situation. Most independent studios fail because it's very hard to do this. I know you don't mean your statement in a bad way, but if

I wish Kinja worked so I could show my appreciation with an applause gif.

Okay wrap it up folks the comment section has done its work.

Unannounced Survival Game...

I’m the old-timer telling kids around our dystopian camp’s burning barrel the story from Many Moons Ago about “Nintendo and the MEGATON announcement”

Not quite true. It’s not like Activision is moving to Redmond. Also, large studios like that would more than likely need their own onsite HR and IT departments, etc... Think if it like an enterprise. One corporate entity with several smaller companies under their umbrella. Yeah they’ll likely still tighten up and

Are we really going to go through this rodeo again? They are cagey with the words they choose because they are under a mountain of NDAs. The deals aren’t fully finalised and until they are we won’t hear anything clear. But we have precedence to go on.

Any ongoing live game that is multiplatform will stay that way,

Your comment is so on point. Also, frustrating and ridiculous that Kotick keeps winning.

Capitalism rewards risk-taking, you guys. That’s why CEO’s can devalue and embarrass their company their sheer corruption and incompetence, get bought out and still expect a $300 million bonus check for being fired.
