I’m a little bit conflicted about this. While I agree this whole thing is a bad look for Jay-Z, I find it hard to side with either Eric Reid or Kaepernick completely.

Jay previously owned a share of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, in which he purchased a $1 million stake in 2004, but even that deal was controversial in that many believe it sped up the hyper-gentrification tearing up his beloved, native Brooklyn.

I don’t get the hate. He’s been a quiet and effective advocate for change. He was anonymously bailing out people in Ferguson and Baltimore, and has always advocated for Black ownership and causes. He isn’t a social Republican. He is for self help and improvement and that shows in everything he and Bey do.

Once when I was about to beat somebody at Magic: the Gathering Online, he went on an antisemitic rant about how he was going to “kill all the Jews at Wizards of the Coast.”

I discovered Blazing Chrome in the game pass library, and it’s pretty amazing if you like Contra.

It’s easy to talk about “mental health” when it’s someone like me who’s depression just causes them to shut down and hide away, or someone who’s anxiety can stress out or frustrate the people around them.

Sometimes the writers here come off as living in a bubble. 

I don’t need her to be a leftist dream, I need her to be better than Mitch. It’s a pretty low bar. Campaigning in a way that talks to voters she needs to win over, conservatives who have probably voted red their whole lives (or voted southern democrat when that was still a thing) is smart.
