The best part of a good Lego set is the build. I got the Ninjago City a week and a half ago and it’s fantastic. The build was very enjoyable, especially when each set of bags was a build in its own right.

If I were going to spend $1k for a camera than I’d buy an actual camera. Some of those scanners require the phone to rest right on top of them. Currently, I can just keep my finger on the sensor and wait for the phone to make the transaction. All too often, it takes a couple of seconds for the connection to occur. It seems like Face ID is going to be very clunky in this scenario.

You neglected to mention Microsoft’s implementation. They use 3D mapping for facial recognition in Windows 10 and with the Kinect. I haven’t used it a much myself, but my understanding is that it works quite well.

Yeah, this has been a persistent problem with AMOLEDs and OLEDs for as long as they’ve been around. The problem is more pronounced with blues because that color degrades more rapidly.
