It’s not an anglo-saxon fixation; it’s a human fixation. They do it in Asia at least as much as Westerners do.

I expect this car will look more dramatic in person than it does in photos. It’s not bad at all, but it’s not overly exciting either.
You also have to question why humans faced with this threat aren’t building medieval suits of armor for themselves. That would mitigate almost any danger from zombie encounters. And if even a natural death could result in a zombie you can be sure that humans would quickly develop new death rituals. Euthenasia and…
That’s because they reproduce aggressively and they get into all kinds of niches that can’t easily be reached by humans. Zombies don’t reproduce, they simply infect living humans. That kind of reproductive rate should guarantee that their population would decline very rapidly.
The FF XV version looks great, but why the hell does it have to be so monochromatic?
The last time I checked fighter pilots wore helmets; but I guess that would ruin that pretty boy’s perfect hairstyle. More critically, given the capabilities shown in this orgy of destruction, this movie should fit into the length of a trailer.
The Speed Champions line really isn’t doing it for me. They really don’t do a good job at all of evoking the cars they’re supposed to represent. Amateurs do a far better job of this.
I remember reading an article about this very research years ago. They made some very compelling points. Unfortunately, I think they fixated so much on the individual letters that they ended making them feel too similar when they construct a word. They would have gotten a better result from an experienced designer.
The last phone in the Lumia line isn’t the same thing as Windows phone is dead. The widespread rumors are that Microsoft is working on a Surface Phone. This last line of Lumias exists mostly to have something current on the market and as a platform for updating and refining Windows 10 mobile.
To varying degrees this happens on a yearly basis. You’d have thought that most Chinese would have given up on trying to get back for the holidays and just stay home. Although, to be fair, for many this is the one chance they have for time off.
It’s about freaking time. The whole Scion brand was idiotic from day one. The only thing that saved them at the start was a few compelling models that should have just been sold under the Toyota name.
Microsoft’s own swiping already works quite well. That said, it could do a better job with context. I don’t understand the need to acquire Swype unless there’s something particularly special they’re doing. I haven’t their keyboard in a long time so I don’t know how it compares. I did love it back when I was using it…
I’m a fan of the cause to adopt, but these are some awful looking toys. There seems to have been some indecision as to whether they should look like a real dog or a cartoon.
I agree; I don’t get the appeal.
According to the New Yorker, Hollywood has turned against CGI.
You need to get out more because this happens the world over regardless of economic or political system. Racism and sexism predate capitalism by millenia; sadly, it’s just something that refuses to go away. But if you want to talk incubators of these things, then I’d argue other political systems are worse.
Commutes in big cities aren’t necessarily shorter. Years ago it would take me nearly an hour via subway to get to work. Now if varies between 30 and 45 minutes based on traffic conditions and I’m covering roughly 4 times the distance. That said, there were more distractions taking the subway, and it was punctuated by…
I agree with you completely, but you can say the same exact thing about everything else the government does. There is massive inefficiency in government at all levels but the solution always is to throw more money at the problem. And when they don’t have the money the first instinct is to raise taxes.
They all look cool, but ergonomics is a concern. Hasbro seems to be edging towards visual impact over usability. Mattel’s BoomCo line has already cornered the market on unique styling but clunky ergonomics.
This feels like one of those videos that’s going to get reposted endlessly on Facebook. It’s impressive work, but the drawing is obvious if you watch this in HD.
