Every time I see this car I get confused thinking it’s an A4. Even the headlights headlights evoke the Audi. It’s really disconcerting because it’s so reminiscent of the A4 but modified in such a way that it looks disfigured. The only elements that don’t scream Audi are the door creases and vents from BMW.

Actually, I recall reading an article about a guy who tests paints. I don’t remember the specifics, but he exposes painted surfaces to the elements under a variety of conditions. I wish I could find it, but what stuck out was that he didn’t bother washing his own car and didn’t seem to think it was necessary either.

We need an extensive rail network like Japan has in and around cities before high speed rail makes any sense. That’s why Japan’s shinkansen works so well. For most Japanese there’s a station within walking distance. So I can take a train to the nearest shinkansen stop and go from there.

I struggle to comprehend the mindset of a person who buys an Apple Watch for an iPhone that they end up replacing for a Galaxy S6 only a few weeks later.

This is the same old problem with management at organizations of all sizes. Having the idea is easy, but implementation is a bitch. But management forges ahead anyway with their half-baked ideas with an astonishing inability to learn from mistakes.

most racers end up dyeing in their boats

You’ll have to excuse my cynicism. Every time a high HP FWD car hits the market the automotive press proclaims that understeer and torque steer, in particular, are nonexistent. Then next gen model comes along and where the current gen is an undriveable torque steering monster the new one is problem free. For real this

It is always amusing when one of the most important auto races in the world gets preempted by a non-event of a NASCAR race.

The stands were empty because it’s an under 20 competition. If it were the actual national teams those stands would be packed. This kids might be stars some day, but for now nobody cares. It’s kind of like watching college sports, which Americans do get excited about although I’ve always struggled to understand why.

I can’t escape the feeling that it was styled by someone with more experience in NASCAR than Le Mans. That livery isn’t flattering to the Ford GT. It obfuscates all the details that make that the car look exotic.

The funny thing is that the girl with the overstyled headphones would have been considered weird a few decades ago.

I’m sure there’s a dealer somewhere happy to get you into a shiny new car at an obscenely high interest rate.

While this may be true in other parts of the country it certainly doesn’t apply here in southern Connecticut. Over the course of this slow economic recovery my commute has definitely gotten longer. I don’t even bother with the highways and take backgrounds to work instead. Unfortunately, other commuters are realizing

I don’t mind the new design; it’s somewhat of an improvement. The original design looked a bit derivative and cheesy. It reminds me of an existing skyscraper, I’m just struggling to remember what building that is.

It strikes me as odd that people are just now discovering Apple’s practice of appropriating someone else’s ideas and promoting the hell out of them. This has been going on for years, and some of us have been pointing it out all along.

I wouldn’t rely on new MacBooks lasting as long as older models. My office uses primarily MacBooks of various types and we’ve experience multiple failures over the past couple of years. The descrete video card in my barely 2-year-old MacBook Pro died a couple of months ago, necessitating replacement of the entire

This car feels like a halo car. It helps Honda’s brand by offering some tangible evidence that they still care about performance without having to invest in a new dedicated platform.

In case you’re all wondering; Microsoft didn’t introduce this feature first, they copied Apple retroactively.

So what you’re saying is that you prefer over-the-top, irrational enthusiasm every time something gets reviewed? The sort of mindless, hyper-positive crap we normally see?

There is a better alternative. Give Android or Windows Phone a shot because those operating systems offer so much more than you’ll ever get from Apple. You just have to accept no longer being part of the in crowd.
