$10 for 2 movies is still $2.50 per hour of entertainment. In that context a $60 30 hour game is a better value.

I like the way Witcher 3 named theirs (in order from easiest to hardest):

Like I said, to each his own. There are certainly $60 single player games that offer hundreds of hours of content. But in my opinion a lot of that content (collectibles, loot grinding, fetch quests, etc) is not particularly interesting. I'd rather pay $60 for a 20 hour game with a good narrative, tight mechanics, and

Yeah, this is a very strange complaint considering how much more people spend on other pastimes like sports, music, movies, theme parks etc.

I’ve been watching a lot of video reviews of this game and have been shocked at how many sliding sequences show up in them. Is this seriously a significant part of gameplay in J:FO? Sliding sequences are terrible in most games and serve mostly as justification for some kind of trap or set piece. Super Mario is pretty

That’s entirely subjective, I suppose. But personally, $2-3 per hour of entertainment is a great value in my book. Especially compared to how much per hour people spend on a lot of other forms of entertainment (movie theaters, sporting events, live music, stand up comedy, theme parks, etc).

I mean, to each his 0wn I guess. But personally I think 20-30 hours of entertainment is certainly worth $60. That’s a lot longer than most games take to beat. And it’s way cheaper per hour than a lot of other forms of entertainment people eagerly spend money on (movie theaters, sporting events, live music, stand up

“He’s a loving, caring person with no history of domestic violence... who unfortunately on this day just slapped his partner.”

WotC owns D&D, but I assume Gygax had a bunch of unfinished, non-D&D game and setting ideas. DeSanto was probably hoping to hire people to finish these games so he could release them with ”from the creator of D&D” marketing attached and make some money.

I think Boris is too ineffective a leader to make a good target for a protest song. Thatcher was actually a competent enough PM to successfully enact policies which harmed the working class and inspired artistic revolt. Boris is just a bumbling clown who is too shitty at his job to even accomplish his own bad plans.

Same here. The three college friends I bought WoW with at launch all had more time and desire to play marathon sessions than I did. Within a couple weeks we were far too level-separated to play together anymore. I played solo for a few more months but eventually got bored and cancelled my subscription. It’s a fun game

You don’t need to actually BE smart to be in charge, you just need to convince enough people you are.

No. Twitter is a place where people express impulsive, emotional, and extreme opinions. It’s essentially humanity’s id in digital form.

Destiny at least has good shooting gameplay.

Assassins Creed, for all its faults, is at least an entirely new game every year. Each entry has a completely different setting, map, story, characters, voice actors, musical score, etc. Only the game engine gets re-used - everything else has to be created from scratch. It’s a shit-ton of work every time. Crunch time

“Crunch” in service of what? This is just a shitty clone of last year’s game with an updated roster and some minor gameplay tweaks, and a bunch of removed features. It’s not like this is some groundbreaking GOTY masterpiece that was in development for 5 years and had high expectations.

Sony does have better exclusives than Xbox, but this represents a tiny fraction of the consoles’ respective libraries. 99% of good games are available for both.

Why sell off your old games?”
