That’s entirely subjective, I suppose. But personally, $2-3 per hour of entertainment is a great value in my book. Especially compared to how much per hour people spend on a lot of other forms of entertainment (movie theaters, sporting events, live music, stand up comedy, theme parks, etc).

Assassins Creed, for all its faults, is at least an entirely new game every year. Each entry has a completely different setting, map, story, characters, voice actors, musical score, etc. Only the game engine gets re-used - everything else has to be created from scratch. “Crunch” in service of what? This is just a shitty clone of last year’s game with an updated roster and some minor gameplay tweaks, and a bunch of removed features. It’s not like this is some groundbreaking GOTY masterpiece that was in development for 5 years and had high expectations.

Sony does have better exclusives than Xbox, but this represents a tiny fraction of the consoles’ respective libraries. 99% of good games are available for both.
