“If we don't meet our quarterly target, I'm never going to be promoted to Raichu."

My point is that theres no reason the registration can't be automated.

Which is especially weird because historically, Nintendo used to be basically the Apple of the console world: comparatively underpowered hardware and limited third party support, but making up for that with a reliable user-friendly ecosystem, intuitive software design, and meticulous quality control. It’s odd to see

I believe each physical cartridge has a digital serial number embedded on it somewhere that Nintendo could run a check against via the eStore though? This would be a pretty simple way to prevent that.

The attack itself is not what is hard to believe. Black men and gay men are routinely assaulted in America by racist/homophobic monsters, and someone clearly beat the shit out of Mollett. “Black guy gets assaulted by white rednecks outside of a bar” isn’t even remotely implausible.

I don’t deny that the attack took place or even that it was motivated by racism/homophobia. Someone clearly beat the shit out of Smollett. But the MAGA stuff, the mention of the attackers recognizing him from Empire, or the noose part don’t seem to be mentioned anywhere in the official police statement. Those

Nintendo has done a very poor job of implementing this. A much simpler system would be to simply have the Switch console log the date you installed the cartridge as your proof of purchase and then automatically download Piranha when he’s released. This 3-step email code thing is just weird.

You have to redeem the code before Friday and then input it into the store. However, Piranha Plant won’t show up in your roster because it actually hasn’t been released yet. THAT happens sometime in February, but they haven’t announced exactly what date.

Seriously. I can only imagine what the pitch meeting for Shape of Water must have been like. The concept, on paper, is so goddamn weird. The fact that it even got made, let alone earned $200 million and won Best Picture is something of a miracle.

Oddly, this article picks a relatively tame example of Lovecraft’s racist musings to make its point. He wrote waaaaaaaay more offensive shit than this, and volumes of it.

This is kind of funny because the passage you picked to illustrate Lovecraft’s bigotry isn’t even remotely close to the most racist thing he ever wrote. On the 10-point scale of jaw-droppingly racist HP Lovecraft quotes, his description of the immigrant inhabitants of New York City is, like ..... a 3.

Fallout: A series praised for its interesting narrative, post-apocalyptic urban atmosphere, inter-faction conflict, and memorable NPCs, but criticized for mediocre FPS combat mechanics and major glitches.

Why are people trying to make Ben Shapiro a thing?

Reading lots of books is good.

Racism is genderless.

We don't. We just wait for them to die.

I don’t understand why they even bother developing these IPs in the first place if they’re just going to always ditch the project mid-stream. EA should just stick to its cash cow series (Sims, Battlefield, and pro sports) and let other publishers actually give these ideas a full committment.

Teabagging is as outdated as doing Austin Powers impressions or using “talk to the hand” as an insult. 20 years ago this stuff was mildly funny and relevant but if you’re still doing it in 2019, that’s just ....... sad.

Teabagging is the video game equivalent of using ridiculously dated insults like “talk to the hand” or “who’s your daddy” in 2o19. Two decades ago it might have been edgy & funny. Now it’s just sad and awkward.

Teabagging is the video game equivalent of when someone uses a ridiculously-dated insult like “talk to the hand” or “who’s your daddy”. These things may have been mildly funny/relevant like 20 years ago but if you’re still doing them in 2019 you’re just an awkward loser.
