yeah- I’m thinking Adam Smith never thought that capitalism would spawn such a level of death dealing money grubbers but it kinda feels that’s really the end game of this “system”... once advertising/hype got beyond “sex sells” and into “but fear REALLY sells” it was a done deal- the lemming ending .

My view on Mr. Wakefield is that he needs to be in The Hague for crimes against humanity. Full stop. He has literally gotten people killed because of his alleged research. He had a position of authority which he abused and the consequences are global.

Don’t worry, most of us understood the sarcasm inherent in your statement.

the First Amendment does not apply here. This is a private film festival. The first amendment is designed to prevent the government from punishing or preventing speech and expression. An organizer deciding to pull a film from a festival has zero first amendment implications.

what about the FIRST AMENDMENT, Robert DeNiro

This film promoter stuck a $300,000 diamond to the nose of an F1 car. You won't believe what happened next!

We got into that entire point by stating, obviously, that Apple is the worst at human rights. Again, this is an article about Microsoft's former CEO. Do you honestly think we wouldn't give this treatment to boring, evil, dickhead Tim Cook if he bought a team?

Stock prices being speculative is exactly why that's such a bad sign. This is a very basic concept. And Amazon losing $41 million is deliberate, which anyone who follows the company knows. It's in a more or less permanent growth cycle, reinvesting in new tech (a lot of which ends up being a loser), but always growing.

When I read someone complain about "fanboys" to explain Apple's success is the moment I start taking their opinions extra super duper seriously.

I'm admittedly sleep-deprived, but something feels off here. It's not gonna be physical cash since, even if you could manage to get your hands on it (approximately a tractor trailer's worth of Benjamins) storing $2 billion in paper currency is epically stupid. And in the event you wanted to do that because you're both

I think it's a great idea! But then I'm just a dumb commenter.
