Ugh. At least you referenced the real purpose for carbon fiber - to replace other parts with a lighter, stronger material. It's a pet peeve of mine to see carbon fiber used for purely decorative reasons on cars, often being adding in thin layers (or just faked) and actually adding weight (however slight).
