So I’ve had this car for almost 8 years and through various repairs, engine swaps, and breakdowns, I’ve never had to get it towed. I have been able to fix any issue that came up while driving on the road so that I never had to get a tow or leave the car where it broke down.

I finally had a chance to pull the turbo on my MR2 a week or so ago to see if it was the cause of oil smoke plumes coming from my exhaust whenever I came to a stop. Thankfully (it is under warranty), the turbo was the culprit. You can see the black coloring and residue all over the base of the compressor wheel.

Boy the 500 sure has put on some weight. Yikes. 400lb lighter MR2 for comparison.

Little big of background info first. The 2nd gen MR2 was sold in the USA from 91-95. In 93, it got a few revisions such as modified rear suspension geometry, electric speedo, and larger brakes. My car is a 91 non-turbo with a turbo drivetrain swap so as you can imagine, some parts are from different model years.

This weekend I re-replaced the passenger rear wheel bearing with a new ball joint this time. I found out very quickly that the first replacement wheel bearing was defective from the store.

Have a pic of my in progress 4th gen swap. Should be done this weekend if my replacement manifold gets mailed to me in time. The one that came with the swap was cracked and made this horrendous squealing noise from the air leaks.

I'm looking for some aftermarket wheels that look similar to the wheels on the new 2015 Z28 Camaro as seen below. I'm looking for a similar double 5 spoke design that doesn't have parallel spokes (kind of gives it a star shape). Also, I need a 5x114.3 bolt pattern. Any help would be appreciated!
