I'm sure I have told this story of previous Bonnie and Clyde related posts, but it's awesome. My dad's family is from the town where they were killed, and the undertaker in Arcadia who took the bodies was a family friend. I'm sure everyone has seen the photos of the massive crowd outside the funeral home. The inside

Oh RiRi, the lipstick is great, but that hair... Even the New Kids aren't doing rattails anymore.

Anyone else hate the word "fandom"?

Yes? Yes to Andreyko, or yes to Blackman and Williams not being allowed to finish their arc?

Like I said, repeatedly referring to her as "my queen" implies that they are married. Kings and Queens aren't just boyfriend/girlfriend. That's not how monarchies work. And the fact that the promo information STILL says the exact opposite of what DiDio said about the characters IS a big deal.

Mera's official character bio refers to Aquaman as "her husband", and she was referred to as his wife in interviews when New52 launched. She was also referred to as his Queen, which implies they're married, though admittedly she wasn't explicitly called his wife in the books. Still, if DC had intended them to be

My husband calls this "The Clarkson Gambit". Apparently Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear will intentionally screw up when he has to do something he hates so he won't have to do it again.

So we've reached the Busted/McFly period of the current boyband era?

My dad hates most sports, especially football. He might've eventually developed an interest, but he was forced by his dad to play in middle school because he wasn't "manly" enough for dear old gramps. He would've been forced to play in high school as well, but he joined ROTC which was apparently sufficiently manly.

Not only do lots of women love football, but there are plenty of men who don't.

When the Aquaman and Mera example was pointed out, their response was "oh, they're not actually married". Which is total bullshit.

Black Canary is in Birds of Prey and was married to Green Arrow. Also, the "no marriage" rule is for all DC superheroes, not just the Bat-family.

The anti-marriage edict is for ALL the heroes, not just the ones in the Bat family. When it was pointed out that Aquaman and Mera were still married Didio announced that oh, no they aren't really married!

Scarlet Witch is going to be in Avengers 2, so even though it's not a solo film you will still see Joss writing her into a film!

I'm confused. When this went up the lead story was about Albert Hammond and the John Legend bit was just a tiny blurb. Is there a reason the Legend bit was upgraded to the headline other than outrage-y clickbait?

Well, he was the bomb in Phantoms.

That's what's so funny about it, they eat loads of cheese here. Cheese on toast is really popular, but adding a second slice of bread and a bit of butter apparently makes a huge difference. Or maybe it's just him!
