For anyone who has not driven one of these, and is skeptical of magazines and blogs saying how much fun it is, go drive one! I spent some time working at Ford Performance and was lucky enough to get to drive these on a few occasions. As an owner of a performance Mustang, I was BLOWN AWAY by the driving experience this

I so love the B-36. Got to see one at the US Air Force Museum in Dayton, OH last year.

I’m a sports car racing guy, but there is nothing in that realm that is even remotely close to that of a top fuel dragster/funny car engine. Literally every other answer is just wrong.

It’s more to due with the fact that the ACO wants to slow down ALL of the LMP1 cars. They’re getting too quick (which somehow is a thing), so all three LMP1-H cars will be reined in.

Yes, but the GT regulations were VERY different then than they are now. There is literally ZERO chance the FGT or any GT car could win overall unless every other LMP car DNFed.

Ford won’t beat Audi in June because they’re in completely different classes? What did you think the GTE Ford GT was actually going to post a threat to Audi’s LMP1 hybrid?

And Chevy’s should be banned because of the Cobalt issue. And Ford should be banned for the Pinto debacle from 40 years ago. And lets ban Ferraris too, since Enzo Ferrari pushed his drivers to their deaths in the 60s.

My 08 Mustang is affected by the recall, but if you go to a Ford dealer to ask for a the fix, they turn you away since Ford doesn’t have any new parts yet to do the repairs. This will take years, even decades to clear up once there actually is a fix.

I fully expect it to be quicker than cars like the 488/650S/Huracan, but not quite as much as the P1/918/LaFerrari

When I was a senior in high school, I job shadowed a friend’s dad who was a Chrysler executive. As such, I spent an entire workday with him and sat in one meeting where the team that would become SRT was brainstorming what their next SEMA show cars should be. There was a guy in that meeting named Herb Helbig (I think)

I’ve seen a partially camoed one cruising around Dearborn that was a really cool metallic brown. I can’t wait to see it in that color.

It’s actually not the same system as the Focus RS. It operates similarly, but that diff isn’t intended to make the new Continental something that can be hooned.

I feel like as much as we all wish this car was rear wheel drive, like most of its rivals, I don’t think 95% of the people who will buy one (or will buy a BMW, Mercedes, or any other brand) could care less. Us enthusiasts raise bloody murder that this doesn’t fall into the same category as the established brands, but

As a native Detroiter, I’m a bit biased, but the city of Detroit (while full of lots of problems) is far from the worse place on earth. The city is going through an enormous rebirth and transformation right now. There is a light rail system going in that will connect downtown with the suburbs (something Detroit has

I used to work at one of the big three and it was my first job out of college. At the time, I was still driving my 1997 Pontiac Grand Am, which I bought when I was 16 and kept in generally immaculate shape (I did not work for GM).

First time it will set competitive lap times is this weekend at the Roar Before the Rolex 24. It’s first actual race will be later this month at the Rolex 24 at Daytona - January 30th. I’ll be there!

You shouldn’t. Nissan came out with a completely new design that had more or less never been done before and came to the track with no hybrid system.

This car utterly fails, though, in that it was not built for anything in particular. To brag that it is faster than Nissan’s GT3-spect GT-R means nothing because the GT3 GT-R was built for the FIA GT3 regulations. This Renault was built to none, so yes, it’s going to be faster, yet being that it wasn’t built to fit

The LMP-1 was actually THE most successful sports racing prototype of 1999-2003 that didn’t have 4 rings on its nose. The LMP1 won 8 races over that span, including winning the 1999 Petit Le Mans overall.

While it’s hard to argue with the Nissan or Aston Martin, I’m going to go with a pair of Panoz (and I say this with a heavy heart as the Panoz LMP-1 is my favorite car of all time) - The LMP07 of 2001 and the Abruzzi of 2011.
