That's just not how it works for me. Most people are just trying to farm, or screw around, or are already in party chat with someone else and aren't interested in joining a fireteam. You have to send the invite and wonder, instead of simply asking "hey want to join a fireteam?" One process leaves me wondering until

I am okay with muting random players, particularly if implemented in a very user friendly way (for example, run up to player and hold triangle button for 5 or 6 seconds to mute).

Apparently the concept of filtering is lost on you. Not to mention it's not like you're surrounded by several hundred players at one time in the game, all vying for your attention. Typically I find around 3-5 people max in an area, unless we're talking about the tower..and even then the tower is typically pretty

Yeah the story of Lonesome George just left me feeling depressed

That car looks like it's laughing maniacally while it's ripping down the track. Looks...pretty awesome.

They're fucking ugly. Donks are just cars that have been ruined by someone with the taste and stylings of a kindergartener.

I think there's a bit of miscommunication going on here, and I apologize for my contributions to that.

Spot on. I thought hard about it today and came up with 7.5/10

Prepare to wait forever

Ah man I feel the same way. I don't like running through levels as fast as possible. I added someone from in game and when I realized that their approach to every single mission was "skip as many enemies as possible so you can get to the important part and try to burn through that as quickly as you can" I had to

Agreed. People like noodle are just Bungie apologists (I'm a big fan of Bungie, mind you, and have been for over a decade..so don't get the impression that I'm biased against them). Plain and simple the game would benefit from more social OPTIONS for players. For all the miserable people who don't like to make friends
