I don't want to trap you in this thread forever, but I legit don't understand why anyone would want substantial content updates for these games delivered via DLC. Every time I see the argument come up online, I panic a little. I would really hate to have DLC become the only option for these updates.

I actually don't. I don't understand why there would be any hate. People act as if they're being tricked into buying games that they knew nothing about.
