I vaguely recall enjoying it in the cinema. Just...don't ever think about it again.

That's OK, though, LEO seems to be in Florida.

Except for Brienne, of course, but that's mostly armor.

"[...]any sufficiently advanced - and in particular, reliable - magic would be indistinguishable from technology."

I've come to expect to find no answers if there's a question mark in the headline. It really kinda makes sense...

Alas, iron oxides aren't ferromagnetic. Neither are pretty much all other iron salts.

They were in decline but they held several colonies in Africa and South-East Asia which were only decolonized after the Carnation Revolution in 1974.

Yeah, but they did retain some colonies. The huge ones I was talking about were just the British and the French empires, even though the next two had some rather large colonies, they somewhat lacked the strength in Europe to be called that.

Nope. They imagine people who aren't bothered by their teeth at all. Which (especially in the upper classes) wouldn't be easy between the proliferation of sugar and the advent of the toothbrush. It should be noted, though, that before sugar was a regular part of anyone's diet, teeth didn't exactly look pearly white

It's usually centered around Victorian England. Which was at the heart of one of the huge colonial empires of its time (the other one would be France with Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and later Germany following in some distance).

And didn't even go for the softest of history. The one thing that was pretty well done was time travel.

Yeah, that's the other way the Middle Ages are represented unrealistically.

Doesn't change much in this context but considering he even met with Dracula (I think) it's important to note: Those are stories by old Indy and he seems to be a blowhard.

Ever found something that was both realistic and fun to read/watch? I have read and watched many stories set in the Middle Ages lately but I didn't look much for realism and more for genre conventions.

I wonder if this would work for a different format. Let's say, 50 words. A bit more elaborate but still not much room (or need) for context.

Rose was supposed to be a teenager? Didn't notice at all. Clearly, the actress was older and she never really acted like it. And especially not in the "annoying teen" way.

The sad thing is: He did sacrifice himself and it didn't stick. He was always annoyingly egocentric and I'm saying that as a reader of HIS story. Just imagine how it would be to be another character with another life and that guy demands everything should be about him (even though he doesn't like the publicity).

Read one article on Times of Israel. They insulted me. Not going there again. Maybe I'll try Haaretz sometime.

Uh, that's interesting. I guess I never cared enough to find out about stuff like that.

Now I wonder who owns the copyright to copyright laws...
