That, and you can probably develop a military shooter far quicker than an involved role-playing game, judging by the frequency of Battlefield- and CoD-releases.

Oh well, as long as others still make good games, I'm fine. ( Looking at you, Bethesda, Paradox, Bioware (or whatever happened to it) and others.)

But why do you even need them anymore? At what point do they say "OK, that looks good enough, now let's not focus on good looks anymore and make good games instead"?

Not even the entire imperial fleet could destroy a galaxy.

Seems like GTA needs an anti-counterfeiting agency. It would be kinda cool if they made it part of the game (and gave the game a way to handle it).

Well, whoever said that RPGs need a fantasy or science fiction setting? Those are just easier because you don't have to know shit about history or the real world.

Expecting anything else?

I was looking for Vogon construction ships. This chart is quite incomplete.

Ah, the oversimplification. The causes for World War I were far more complex than just the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. There were colonial interests, old slights and hate, decades of arms build-up and a military industry that wanted to see their toys in action. By 1900 (probably by 1871), everyone knew

Watch Band of Brothers. Or some Stalingrad-film. Then watch All Quiet on the Western Front. Now try to make a game based on the latter.

It might be in the - arrogant as always - USA. In other parts of the world, America is generally considered to be a twin continent with a bit more than a dozen independent countries.

I nominate Miranda, because...well, it looks cool.

Wish I could just buy HL complete. Sadly, I would only get cut German bullshit (HL 1, at least) which just isn't any fun.

Color photography in the 40s is not that uncommon - print was pretty much only b/w though so that's why the time appears b/w. There's even a lot of WW II color film footage.

Yeah right, like chefs know about stuff like that...

Also vapor pressure!

Battle of Leyte Gulf (WW II)? Maybe Battle of Jutland (WW I)? Those are pretty much the only battles I can think of where battleships clashed. Smaller might have been better though...maybe Bismarck and Prinz Eugen vs. HMS Prince of Wales and HMS Hood? Battle of Rio Plata? Or, of course, some fictional encounter?

Indubitably!

You go to Starbucks to get fresh food?

Well, you did it in one of your previous posts ;-)
