I don't want to sound like a Steam fanboy, but this is something I'd say Steam does right. I've seen many great indie games do well on Steam because they aren't segregated like some sort of lower class game. When games come out, they get the front page on Steam. One example I've seen to enjoy success this year is Orcs

Well, the matchmaking is based off of skill no matter the peripheral you use to play, and the PS3 version gets keyboard and mouse support. So I guess higher end controller players will be grouped with the lower end kb/m players.

I don't see Valve going out of business any time soon. In fact, I see the ability to mod to be a big selling point for a lot of PC games.

Looks like the same exact system as Mario Kart Wii, which was pretty enjoyable. I just feel spoiled by the community-driven PC multiplayer for me to care much about online for Nintendo games. I'd definitely pick this one up if I had a 3DS though. Who doesn't like Mario Kart?!

That was a cool watch. C'mon Valve, just make an animated movie already! I don't ever go to the movie theaters, but I would definitely want to watch a Half-Life film on the opening night.
