I have an 05 W211 with the CDi. The car has been dead reliable and has 239k. Best thing is that it’s not a Bluetec so there’s no DEF or EGR nonsense. The car is a literal tank, it can just cruise for days at 40+ mpg on the highway.

Yeah, I have an 03 and while it’s not a DCT, it’s eaten it’s fair share. Original, warranty, junkyard, and Aamco. Now the housing leaks because of a crack but it still works. I’ve heard they extended the warranties on the DCT’s though.

The only thing is the screens for the infotainment system tend to go bad and they’re not cheap to replace.

I just run into stupid employees with laughably bad passwords. The best are the Facebook posts that trick people into giving away their answers to security questions. Am I the only one that thinks if someone talks to me and starts to ask me personal things, I just automatically think it’s a social engineering attempt?

Yeah, I’ve had to deal with employees that use the most absurd password and then when I lock their account because they got compromised.....They want to use the same password or a variation of it. NO! In my case, some people just don’t care about security. 

Look up Arthur Tussik on Youtube. It looks like he gets NA market totaled cars and fixes them up in Russia. He does some amazing work and while I’m no body expert, it looks like he does the job right. I’d love to hear what some body repair people have to say after watching some of his videos.
